French Louis XV-Inspired Upholstered Bergère-Style Dining Chair
Drawing from French Louis XV seating and eighteenth-century bergère construction, this dining chair is defined by its tall upholstered back, shaped seat frame and elaborately curved cabriole legs. The high rectangular backrest and deep seat are fully upholstered in a continuous botanical textile, creating a softly padded silhouette without exposed upper framing. The lower seat rail is supported by four pronounced S-curved cabriole legs, each terminating in carved scroll feet. Elaborate carved stretchers connect the legs on the front and sides, forming flowing symmetrical curves that reinforce the chair's sculptural base. The dark wood finish provides a strong contrast to the muted floral upholstery and highlights the carved profiles and scrollwork.
