Italian Rococo-Inspired Marble-Front Console Table
Drawing from Italian Rococo and Louis XV-influenced decorative furniture, this console is defined by a shaped rectangular top, curved cabriole legs and an elaborate carved apron incorporating a contrasting marble panel. The apron follows a gently serpentine profile, with C-scrolls, acanthus foliage, shell-like ornament and pierced carved details arranged around the central marble reserve. The four cabriole legs curve outward beneath the case before tapering toward scrolling feet, while a lower open shelf provides practical display space without interrupting the light, elevated construction. The combination of dark painted surfaces, selective gilding and veined marble creates a layered decorative treatment characteristic of ornate European case furniture.
Suitable for entry halls, living rooms, galleries, drawing rooms and formal European-inspired interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
