Drawing from Louis XVI and Neoclassical seating, this side chair features a tall oval medallion back enclosed by a shaped and moulded timber frame. The back and seat are upholstered in a charcoal-grey woven textile, providing a defined contrast against the warm natural wood finish. The lower frame incorporates square corner blocks and restrained moulding, while the tapered legs are articulated with turned collars and shallow fluting. The oval back introduces the characteristic medallion profile associated with Louis XVI furniture, while the straight seat rail and regular leg treatment maintain its geometric character. The chair is suited to dining rooms, breakfast rooms, bedrooms, dressing areas and French-inspired residential interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
