Drawing from French Louis XV and Rococo-influenced seating, this armchair is defined by its shaped upholstered back, carved open arms and flowing cabriole construction. The high curved backrest follows a softly arched profile with exposed timber moulding surrounding the upholstered panel, while the padded seat is framed by a continuous shaped rail. The open arm supports incorporate carved scroll and foliate details, connecting the back uprights to the curved front legs. Four cabriole legs continue the flowing profile, tapering into small carved feet with restrained ornamental detailing. The polished dark wood finish emphasises the continuous curves of the frame, while the pale patterned upholstery provides contrast across the back and seat.
