Théa Mielle — Baroque-Inspired Ivory and Gold Console Table with Mirror
Baroque-Inspired Carved Console with Ornate Mirror
Drawing from Italian Baroque and Rococo decorative furniture, this console and mirror ensemble is defined by a strongly carved silhouette, scrolling profiles and a painted ivory-and-gilt finish. The console has a shallow rectangular top above an open apron, centred by a prominent shell and acanthus-leaf composition with additional foliate carving extending toward the corners. The shaped cabriole legs curve outward before returning into carved scroll feet, with further foliage accenting the knees and lower terminals.
The tall mirror follows a vertically elongated architectural form, with a richly carved frame of scrolling foliage, shells and floral ornament. Its broken-outline crest rises into a prominent carved floral and foliate composition, giving the ensemble a distinctly theatrical Baroque character.
Suitable for entrance halls, drawing rooms, galleries and formal classical interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
Made to order, with upholstery and finish selected for each commission.
