Drawing from mid-twentieth-century modernist seating, this dining chair is defined by its restrained geometry, exposed timber frame and compact upholstered proportions. The rectangular upholstered backrest is supported by two narrow vertical uprights, leaving an open section between the back and seat that gives the chair a visually light profile. The padded seat follows a softly rounded front edge and is finished with contrasting piping, while the slim exposed seat rail maintains a clean horizontal line. Four straight tapered legs extend directly from the seat frame, emphasizing the chair's vertical construction and minimal ornament. The dark timber finish provides a strong contrast to the neutral upholstery, while the simple joinery and reduced detailing reflect the functional character of modernist furniture.
