Drawing from Louis XVI and Neoclassical seating, this side chair is defined by its circular medallion back and disciplined timber construction. The rounded backrest is enclosed by a broad moulded frame and upholstered in a fine checked textile, with the pattern carried across the seat for a coordinated appearance. The seat rail incorporates square corner blocks and restrained moulding, while the tapered front legs feature turned collars and shallow fluting. The rounded back contrasts with the otherwise rectilinear lower structure, creating a balanced transition between curved and geometric elements. The light timber finish and checked upholstery suit dining rooms, breakfast rooms, bedrooms and French-inspired residential interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
