Drawing from Louis XVI and Neoclassical seating, this armchair combines a rectilinear timber frame with a woven cane back and upholstered seat. The tall rectangular back is enclosed by a broad moulded surround, with tightly woven cane forming the central panel. The arms are supported by turned and fluted uprights and terminate in shaped hand rests, while the front legs feature vertical fluting, turned collars and tapered feet, characteristic of the geometric vocabulary associated with Louis XVI furniture. Small carved corner details add definition to the seat rail without disrupting its disciplined proportions. The dark upholstered seat provides a contrasting surface against the natural timber and cane.

The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
