French Provincial Louis XV-Inspired Upholstered Dining Chair
Drawing from French Provincial and Louis XV seating traditions, this dining chair is defined by its shaped upholstered back, exposed carved frame and gently curved cabriole legs. The high backrest follows a rounded, shield-like profile with a moulded wood surround that continues into the rear uprights. The upholstered back features restrained button detailing, while the padded seat is framed by a shaped seat rail and finished with closely spaced nailhead trim. The front legs follow a characteristic cabriole profile, narrowing toward the feet with a subtle outward curve, while the exposed wood frame has a naturally weathered finish that reinforces its provincial character. The muted linen upholstery provides a restrained contrast to the timber structure.
