Louis XV-Inspired Carved Floral Upholstered Dining Chair
Drawing from French Louis XV and Rococo seating, this dining chair features a tall, shaped back framed by an elaborate carved timber surround. The crest rail is articulated with scrolling foliage, shell forms and foliate ornament, while the back and seat are upholstered in a floral botanical textile. The exposed frame follows a restrained serpentine profile, with shaped side rails and cabriole legs terminating in scrolling feet. Decorative carving continues through the crest, apron and lower frame, giving the chair a consistent eighteenth-century French character. The upholstered floral pattern is particularly suited to traditional dining schemes, while the open proportions allow the carved frame to remain visually prominent. Suitable for formal dining rooms, drawing rooms and French-inspired residential interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
