Drawing from French Baroque and Rococo decorative seating, this armchair combines a high upholstered back with a strongly sculpted timber frame and contrasting black lacquer finish. The shaped crest rail is centred by carved scrollwork and foliate ornament, while the open arms curve outward into scroll-ended hand rests. The upholstered back and seat are finished in a warm gold-toned textile, with restrained button detailing at the centre of the back. Carved gilt accents appear at the crest, arm supports and seat rail, creating a deliberate contrast against the dark frame. The elongated legs continue the curved profile of the arms and terminate in narrow feet. Suitable for formal dining rooms, drawing rooms, libraries and decorative classical interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
