Drawing from Louis XV and Rococo-influenced French seating, this side chair features a shaped upholstered back within a carved timber frame. The crest rail is centred by a pronounced floral and foliate cartouche, with additional carved foliage extending along the upper frame and seat rail. The cabriole legs continue the curved profile, terminating in shaped feet, while the front rail incorporates a central carved ornament and flowing Rocaille detailing. The back is upholstered in a botanical floral textile, contrasted by a plain ochre-gold seat with closely set decorative nailhead trim. Its proportions and ornament make it suited to drawing rooms, bedrooms, dressing areas and French-inspired residential interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
