Rococo-Inspired Carved Panel Armoire
This tall two-door armoire draws from 18th-century French decorative furniture, with a pronounced Rococo influence in its flowing contours, carved foliage and asymmetrical ornament. The doors feature elongated raised panels with gently arched upper mouldings, framed by shaped rails that follow the curved profile of the cabinet. Above, a shaped cornice rises into a prominent carved crest of acanthus leaves, scrolls and floral ornament, with corresponding carved details at the upper corners. The lower section has a serpentine apron with a central carved foliage motif and cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet. A warm ivory painted finish emphasizes the relief carving and moulded construction. Suited to bedrooms, dressing rooms and traditional European-inspired interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
Made to order, with upholstery and finish selected for each commission.
