Drawing from French Louis and Rococo decorative furniture, this rectangular coffee table is defined by a framed glass top, carved apron and an open sculptural base. The clear glass surface is set within a moulded wooden frame with stepped edging, creating a clean horizontal plane above the decorative structure. The apron and supports feature scrolling foliage, carved volutes and restrained foliate ornament, while the four curved legs sweep outward into pronounced scroll feet. A central crossing stretcher reinforces the base and introduces a symmetrical decorative element beneath the table. The painted and gilded finish highlights the carved details while maintaining the formal proportions associated with European decorative furniture.
Suitable for drawing rooms, reception areas, sitting rooms and classically detailed living interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
