Italian Rococo-Inspired Console Table with Ornate Mirror
Drawing from Italian Rococo and 18th-century European decorative furniture, this console table is defined by a rectangular top, carved apron and elongated cabriole supports. The apron incorporates scrolling C-curves, shell forms, foliate carving and a central floral ornament, with the decoration extending into the shaped corners. The four cabriole legs taper through a series of carved and moulded sections before terminating in small scrolling feet, giving the console its characteristic flowing profile. The painted white finish provides a restrained ground for the carved details while maintaining the formal proportions of the case.
The matching mirror follows a tall rectangular profile with a richly carved giltwood frame. Its ornament includes C-scrolls, acanthus foliage, floral sprays and a pronounced pierced crest, with additional carving concentrated around the corners and lower edge. The selective gold-leaf finish creates a clear contrast with the white console and establishes a unified decorative composition.
Suitable for entry halls, dressing rooms, bedrooms, galleries and formal Italian-inspired interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
Made to order, with upholstery and finish selected for each commission.
