Drawing from Italian Neoclassical furniture with late 18th-century French decorative influences, this demi-lune console combines a restrained semicircular profile with curved carved supports and classical ornament. The console has a shallow half-moon top, edged with a projecting moulding and a carved frieze of symmetrical foliate motifs. Its two sweeping supports form pronounced S-curved cabriole legs, terminating in compact scroll feet and creating an open central space. A narrow lower shelf is positioned between the supports, centred by a small carved finial that reinforces the vertical axis.
The painted ivory ground with gilt detailing highlights the carved foliage and scrollwork while maintaining the light architectural character of the piece. The composition suits entry halls, drawing rooms, galleries and formal transitional interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
