Italian Rococo-Inspired Carved Console with Mirror
Drawing from 18th-century Italian decorative furniture with Rococo influences, this console and mirror ensemble combines a shaped console profile with carved floral ornament and a painted ivory-and-gilt finish. The console features a serpentine top with a shaped apron, centred by a prominent carved floral pendant and surrounded by scrolling foliage. The slender cabriole legs sweep outward and return into compact scroll feet, giving the open base a pronounced curved silhouette.
The console top is finished in a warm figured wood, providing contrast against the ivory-painted carved body. The matching mirror has an elongated rectangular form with a strongly shaped Rococo outline, incorporating C-scrolls, pierced-looking crest ornament and foliate details along the frame.
Suitable for entry halls, dressing areas, drawing rooms and formal transitional interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
Made to order, with upholstery and finish selected for each commission.
