Drawing from Louis XVI and Neoclassical seating, this side chair features a broad oval back enclosed within a rounded moulded timber frame. The back and seat are upholstered in a natural linen textile, creating a restrained contrast with the warm wood finish. The oval medallion back is supported by narrow vertical uprights that continue into the lower frame, while the seat rail uses simple moulding and square corner construction. The tapered legs are finished with turned collars and subtle fluting, reinforcing the structured vocabulary associated with late-eighteenth-century French furniture. Its balanced proportions make it suitable for dining rooms, breakfast rooms, bedrooms, dressing areas and French-inspired residential interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
