Italian Rococo-Inspired Console with Shaped Mirror
Drawing from 18th-century Italian decorative furniture with Rococo influences, this console and mirror ensemble combines a shaped case with carved floral ornament and an ivory-and-gilt finish. The console has a narrow serpentine top above a deeply shaped apron, centred by a carved foliate pendant and flanked by scrolling floral motifs. The slender cabriole legs curve outward before returning into small carved feet, while a sinuous lower stretcher echoes the profile of the upper apron.
The matching mirror has an irregular Rococo outline with a pronounced shell-and-foliate crest, scrolling side contours and carved ornament along the lower edge. The restrained gilt highlights emphasise the relief carving against the ivory ground.
Suitable for entry halls, drawing rooms, dressing areas and formal interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
