Corte Silente — French Neoclassical Cane Dining Table & Chair Set
Corte Silente — French Neoclassical Cane Dining Table & Chair Set
Louis XVI-Inspired Cane Dining Suite
Drawing from late 18th-century French furniture, this dining suite combines a round-topped dining table with oval-back cane chairs, reflecting a Louis XVI-influenced approach to symmetry, restrained ornament and classical proportions. The dining table features a broad circular top with a contrasting light stone or marble surface, set over a substantial wooden apron and central pedestal base. The pedestal incorporates shaped supports that give the table a stable, architectural profile while maintaining a relatively light visual appearance.
The accompanying chairs feature oval cane backs within shaped wooden frames, upholstered seats and slender tapered legs with turned feet. Floral-patterned upholstery contrasts with the dark wood and woven cane, while the repeated oval backs create a consistent rhythm around the circular table. Designed for formal dining rooms, traditional residences, French-inspired interiors and refined hospitality settings.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
Made to order, with upholstery and finish selected for each commission.
