Drawing from Italian Rococo and 18th-century European decorative furniture, this rectangular coffee table is defined by a framed glass top, carved supports and an open lower shelf. The clear glass surfaces are bordered by moulded wooden rails with restrained gilded edging, creating a light horizontal structure above the sculptural base. The four supports feature pronounced C-scrolls, carved foliate details and acanthus-leaf ornament, with the curved profiles extending into shaped scroll feet. The lower glass shelf follows the rectangular proportions of the upper surface and provides additional display space without interrupting the open construction. The painted-and-gilded finish emphasizes the carved details and follows the decorative vocabulary of Italian Rococo furniture.
Suitable for drawing rooms, reception areas, sitting rooms and classically detailed living interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
