Drawing from Louis XVI and Neoclassical seating, this armchair features a tall oval medallion back enclosed within a carved and moulded timber frame. The crest incorporates a restrained fluted detail, while the outer surround follows the rounded profile into carved scroll elements at the lower back. The open arms curve outward from the back and terminate in scroll-shaped hand rests, supported by shaped uprights. The seat is upholstered in charcoal-grey textile with a closely spaced nailhead border, while the seat rail carries a flowing moulded profile. Tapered front legs feature turned collars and subtle fluting, reinforcing the structured vocabulary of late-eighteenth-century French furniture. Suitable for drawing rooms, libraries, bedrooms and formal seating areas.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
