Drawing from French Louis XV and Rococo seating, this armchair features a shaped upholstered back enclosed within a carved timber frame, with a pronounced crest rail and flowing shoulders. The exposed dark wood frame incorporates scrolling foliate carving across the crest, seat rail and knees, while the open arms curve outward to padded hand rests. The upholstered back is bordered with decorative nailhead trim and finished in a botanical damask, contrasting with the warm plain upholstery of the seat and arm pads. The seat is divided by vertical channel tufting, while the cabriole legs continue the curved profile and terminate in carved feet. Suited to drawing rooms, studies, libraries and formal residential interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
