Drawing from Louis XVI and late-eighteenth-century Neoclassical seating, this armchair combines a formal oval back with a carved timber frame and structured upholstered seat. The oval medallion back is enclosed by a beaded moulded surround and upholstered in a patterned textile with a symmetrical ornamental motif. Scrolled arms terminate in padded rests, while the front supports feature carved volutes, turned collars and tapering legs with restrained fluting. The seat is upholstered in deep blue leather with button tufting and a decorative nailhead border, creating a clear contrast with the warm timber frame. The chair suits drawing rooms, libraries, reception spaces and refined dining interiors, particularly where period-inspired furniture is used within a classical architectural setting.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
