Drawing from 18th-century Italian decorative furniture and Rococo ornament, this console and mirror set combines a carved giltwood frame with pronounced scrolling and foliate detail. The console has a shallow rectangular top with a warm variegated stone or marble surface, above a pierced apron enriched with acanthus leaves, C-scrolls and a central carved cartouche. Cabriole legs curve inward and outward beneath the apron, with carved foliage continuing down to the feet. A shaped lower stretcher connects the legs and carries a further central ornamental cartouche. The tall mirror features a slender carved frame with asymmetrical Rocaille scrolls, floral sprays and a pronounced foliate crest. The selective gilding and open carving suit entrance halls, drawing rooms, galleries and formal European-inspired interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
