Drawing from Italian Rococo and 18th-century European decorative furniture, this square coffee table is defined by a framed glass top, sculpted apron and four elaborately carved cabriole legs. The clear glass surface is set within a substantial moulded frame, creating a clean horizontal plane that contrasts with the highly decorative base. Each corner features carved C-scrolls, acanthus leaves and foliate volutes, continuing into curved cabriole legs with shaped scroll feet. The carved apron connects the four supports through concentrated foliate ornament, maintaining a balanced symmetrical composition. A painted finish with darker gilded detailing emphasizes the relief carving and distinguishes the legs, apron and frame while preserving the formal square proportion.
Suitable for drawing rooms, reception areas, sitting rooms and classically detailed living interiors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
