Louis XV Rococo-Inspired Console with Carved Mirror
Drawing from Louis XV-period French decorative furniture and Rococo design, this console and mirror ensemble combines a serpentine case with restrained carved ornament and a painted-and-gilt finish. The console features three shaped drawers, each framed by raised mouldings and centred with carved floral and foliate motifs. Its apron follows a gently undulating profile, flowing into elongated cabriole legs with scroll feet. A lower shelf provides additional display space while maintaining the open structure of the base.
The matching mirror follows an asymmetrical Rococo outline, with a shaped crest, scrolling corners and carved floral ornament enriched with gilt highlights. The painted ivory ground and gold detailing create a balanced contrast suited to entry halls, drawing rooms, dressing areas and formal corridors.
The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
Made to order, with upholstery and finish selected for each commission.
